Fabric Painting

This class was a continuation class to Fabric Dyeing. We did block printing, stencil painting, screen printing, and a process of distressing

Block Printing

I drew the branches of a tree and the inside of them then transferred to the blocks

Stencil Painting

I drew and created two stencils for my stencil painting

I started with the frog stencil and added the flower hat in the second layer

Screen Printing

I created two screens, one with emulsion made in the dark room

In progress of one of my screens after the emulsion was washed off

The final product with both screens printed

Distressing

I started by teching a white t-shirt and adding armpit stains

I then added fabric paint to look like dried tar and mud. I also created fake snow on the collar

I also distressed a pair of jeans to look like spilled liquid and fake snow on the hem of the pants to match the shirt
