Kendall Swartz is a fourth year Costume Designer in the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University.

She has been doing costume design and management since 2018. Kendall went to a performing arts high school where she majored in Technical Theater and specialized in Costume Design. There, she designed three shows, stage managed one show, and constructed two 1930s dresses. She also helped manage the costume shop during her junior and senior year of high school. In 2022, Kendall graduated and started at Carnegie Mellon.

The summer of 2023, Kendall interned at Euroco Costume Shop in New York City. She primarily was swatching around the garment district and was a shopper.

In the summer of 2024/25 Kendall worked at Texas Shakespeare Festival and Santa Fe Opera(Apprentice). She was a Stitcher/Dresser both of her summers.

During her time at CMU, Kendall has costume designed Gloria and The House of Bernarda Alba and wardrobe supervised multiple productions. 

She also worked as a wardrobe supervisor off campus at Quantum Theater on their production of Scenes from An Execution.

Since sophomore year, Kendall helped with organization in the Costume Warehouse and is a Drama Ambassador for the School of Drama.
